The Trovanâ ID-100US Implantable Transponder with Lancet, featuring the patented Trovan Lancet with ImplantGaugeTM, has been designed especially for use in animal identification.

Each transponder is individually packaged in a disposable lancet for easy application.  The special lancet features the ImplantGaugeTM allowing real-time visual verification of transponder insertion during the surgical procedure.  In addition, the patented implantation procedure retracts the lancet as the plunger is pushed.  This reverses the conventional syringe design that extrudes the transponder, consequently minimizing the likelihood of transponder breakage.

Each presterilized transponder package includes two printed labels with the transponder's unique hexadecimal number and a Code 39 bar code representation of the number.  The self-adhesive labels can be removed and placed on registration forms, microchipping records, and other paperwork.

The Trovan ID-100US Implantable Transponder with Lancet is a reliable, humane technology for animal identification, designed to provide life-long positive identification for animals.  It is inserted just below the skin in a simple surgical procedure that does not require anesthesia.

Because of its long read range, the ID-100US Implantable Transponder with Lancet can be read using pass-by panel readers.  Therefore, animal handlers in shelter environments and other high volume process areas do not need to touch or individually handle unknown and potentially dangerous animals.  Each Trovan ID-100US Implantable Transponder with Lancet comes individually prepackaged and sterilized in a bubble pack, with its own pre-sterilized Lancet.
