The SA-148 Small Animal Panel Reader is a compact Trovan® radio frequency identification reader developed for laboratory and wildlife applications.  Benefits include superior reading distance and accuracy, increased transponder scan coverage area, faster read speed, the ability to read in the presence of ferrous metals, and system ruggedness.

Typical users include laboratories, research institutions, zoos, wildlife agencies, regulatory agencies, and other users which need to positively identify dogs, cats, mice, rats, squirrels, gerbils, birds, and other small animals and track their activities and feeding habits.  The SA-148 Small Animal Panel Reader can also be used with non-implantable transponders to obtain greater reading distances and for the RFID of inanimate objects.
